We have some unfortunate news to share. Yesterday, a pipe burst in the upstairs restroom at The House of MAGIC, releasing over 2,100 gallons of water into our building. The water flooded the first floor, causing significant damage to our magic shop, classroom space, and thousands of dollars worth of playing cards, magic effects, and even some of our camera equipment.
As we assess the full extent of the damage, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel all shows for the remainder of this month. We are hopeful that classes and escape rooms will resume by March 17th. However, we are still waiting on experts to determine whether the carpeting on both floors will need to be replaced.
While we do have insurance, coverage for water damage is minimal, and the costs of restoration could be significant. We are committed to getting back on our feet as quickly as possible and will provide updates as we move forward.
Thank you for your patience and support during this unexpected challenge. We’ll keep you posted as we work to bring the magic back!
Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for being part of our community.
